How to Get a Job at Groww in 2026: Openings, Process and Interviews
Where Groww is hiring in October 2026, how its four-step application process works, what candidates report about interviews and how to prepare by role.
To get a job at Groww in 2026, apply through the openings linked from its careers page, expect a screening call and then team interviews, and prepare for skills-based rounds rather than trivia. Its public job board was small on 4 October 2026, so many candidates will also need a referral or a speculative application. 100Xfounder is an independent site and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Groww.
Key takeaways
- Groww’s public Greenhouse job board listed only seven openings on 4 October 2026, in growth, private wealth, internal controls and sales, and none in engineering.
- Groww’s careers page describes four steps: apply or get referred, a screening call, interviews with the team you would join, and an offer.
- The application form asks for your notice period and whether you consent to background verification and reference checks.
- Candidate reports on LeetCode describe engineering loops built on coding, machine coding and system design, but these are individual accounts, not company policy.
- Groww has been listed on India’s stock exchanges since November 2025 and was the country’s largest stock broker by active clients in June 2026.
Where Groww is hiring in October 2026
Groww’s careers page sends applicants to its job board on Greenhouse, an applicant tracking system many tech companies use. When we checked the Greenhouse board’s public feed on 4 October 2026, it listed seven open postings, all in India. Openings change often, so check our live Groww jobs page for the current list.
By department, the board showed:
- Growth (3): a research and content associate for the team behind Digest, plus two internships, one in video editing and one in YouTube and content.
- Private Wealth (2): a portfolio specialist and a product research specialist for W from Groww, its wealth management arm.
- Internal Controls (1): an assistant manager in internal audit.
- Sales (1): a relationship manager for Groww Mutual Fund, the group’s asset management company.
By location, four roles were tagged to a Bengaluru office labelled “Bengaluru-VTP”, two were in Mumbai and one was listed simply as India. Both wealth roles sat in Mumbai, while the growth, content and audit roles were in Bengaluru.
The gap is in technology. Groww’s careers page lists engineering, product and design, risk and compliance, data and analytics, customer experience, and business and growth as its teams, yet the board carried no engineering, product or data postings that day. The same page tells candidates, “Don’t see your role? Apply anyway,” and says the best people it has hired did not always fit a listing. If you are an engineer, that line and a referral matter more than the board on any given day. Our engineering jobs in Bengaluru page tracks similar roles at other companies in the meantime.

What you would be joining
Groww started out selling direct mutual funds and now offers stocks, exchange-traded funds, IPO applications, lending, an asset management company, wealth management and margin trading, according to Business Standard. The listed parent company is Billionbrains Garage Ventures. Its shares debuted on 12 November 2025 at an issue price of ₹100 each, and by mid-April 2026 they had more than doubled, the same report said.
The business is profitable at scale. In the April to June 2026 quarter, Groww reported a profit of ₹735 crore on revenue from operations of ₹1,501 crore, according to Entrackr. One crore is 10 million, so that profit is ₹7.35 billion. Citing NSE data, Entrackr said Groww remained India’s largest stock broker at the end of June 2026, with 1.30 crore (13 million) active clients and a 28.72% market share. Groww’s careers page puts its user base at more than 1.3 crore investors.
For job seekers, the more useful point is how Groww plans to grow. An Inc42 analysis from July 2026 said Groww relies on an engineering-led model in which product teams work independently on shared technology, and that it treats AI as a productivity layer across the company. The same piece reported that employee costs rose only slightly in the quarter, which Groww put down mainly to annual salary revisions rather than aggressive hiring, and that it plans to build wealth management through technology instead of a large relationship-manager network. Read together, these suggest selective hiring rather than mass recruitment.
How the application process works
Groww’s careers page sets out four steps:
- Apply. Apply for a role that matches your profile, or get referred.
- Screening call. A short conversation about you, the role and your goals.
- Interviews. In-depth sessions with the team you would join, which the company describes as testing “skills, not trivia”.
- Offer. Groww says it moves fast and that candidates hear back within days.
The page does not say how many interviews each role has, and we have not found an official breakdown by role. Treat any specific round count you read online as one person’s experience.
What the application form asks
The Greenhouse forms for current Groww openings, which we checked through the board’s public API, ask for your name, email, phone number and resume, with a LinkedIn profile optional. Required questions cover whether a relative works at Groww, whether you have worked there before in any capacity, and whether you consent to background verification and reference checks. A notice-period question offers options from “Available to join immediate” up to “More than 90 days”.
If your current employer allows you to buy out part of your notice period, our notice period buyout calculator shows what an early exit might cost. Some roles add their own questions. The video editing internship requires a portfolio link and asks, as an optional question, how you use AI in your editing workflow.

What Groww says it looks for
Every current posting opens with the same statement of values: radical customer centricity, an ownership-driven culture, keeping everything simple, long-term thinking and complete transparency. The careers page expands on this. It says your role is “a starting point, not a fence”, that teams share context openly, and that people get room to experiment and learn quickly. It also lists health cover, a learning budget, wellbeing support, parental support and flexible time off among its benefits, without giving details.
Requirements in the current postings are specific, and they are worth matching closely:
- Internal audit: a chartered accountant, preferably qualified on the first attempt, with up to about two years of post-qualification experience. The role covers digital lending, broking and wealth management and expects you to build knowledge of RBI, SEBI and stock exchange rules. RBI is India’s central bank and SEBI its markets regulator.
- Portfolio specialist (wealth): at least three years of wealth advisory for ultra-high-net-worth or family office clients, with a CFA, CA or finance MBA preferred.
- Product research specialist (wealth): two to three years in wealth or product research, plus knowledge of portfolio management services (PMS), alternative investment funds (AIFs) and structured products.
- Relationship manager (mutual fund): two to seven years in mutual fund distribution or sales, especially with independent financial advisers and mutual fund distributors.
- Content and internships: research and writing skills for Digest, and a working portfolio for the video and YouTube roles.
The common thread is domain depth. Groww is a regulated financial services business, so even content and growth roles touch markets, products and compliance.
What candidates report about interviews
Groww does not publish a role-by-role interview format. The accounts below are candidate reports posted on LeetCode Discuss. They describe individual experiences, may not reflect current practice, and are not confirmed by Groww. We summarise the format only and do not reproduce the questions.
Senior software engineer (SDE-II), April 2025
One SDE-II candidate in Bengaluru described three rounds: a one-hour data structures and algorithms round, a two-hour machine coding round in which they had to build a working component end to end from a short brief, and a one-hour high-level design round on a trading-style system with strict latency limits. The candidate did not receive an offer. They said the feedback pointed to extensibility and scalability, such as supporting different policies and multiple exchanges, rather than whether the code ran.
SDE intern (React Native), November 2025
A React Native intern candidate reported applying through a form that an HR team member shared on LinkedIn. After resume shortlisting came a take-home assignment to build a stock-broking app, then a technical discussion with a mid-level engineer that included live coding, then a hiring manager round on past work, motivation and fit. This candidate was selected.
SDE intern (AI/LLM), October 2025
An AI/LLM intern candidate was referred by a Groww employee and had all rounds on the same day: a one-hour algorithms round, then a round split between a discussion of their AI projects and a design-style problem solved in pseudocode. An HR round was planned but cancelled after negative feedback.
Three reports are not a pattern you can rely on. They do share a few themes: practical coding over puzzles, attention to how a design extends, and in two cases a referral or recruiter outreach rather than a cold application. We did not find reliable, dated candidate reports for Groww’s non-engineering roles, so we have left those out.

How to prepare, by track
Engineering
Groww’s engineering blog is the best free preparation material because it shows the problems the teams care about. A September 2026 post on Groww Lite explains a stripped-down trading path, run on a separate cloud, that lets users log in and close positions even if the main platform fails. An April 2026 post, Before the Bell Rings, describes daily checkpoints around exchange hours and layered alerting, including AI anomaly detection. A June 2026 post says Groww’s infrastructure runs on Google Cloud and is managed declaratively with Crossplane, and a September 2026 post introduces Compass, an internal agent that answers data questions from inside coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor.
Practical steps:
- Practise machine coding: build a small, working module in about 90 minutes, with interfaces that let you swap behaviour later.
- For design rounds, think about reliability during market hours, failure isolation and latency, which the blog returns to again and again.
- Be ready to explain your own projects in depth. Two of the three candidate reports included a project discussion.
- For frontend or mobile roles, expect a take-home build and questions on framework internals, based on the intern report above.
Wealth, audit, sales and content
- Map your experience to the exact requirements in the posting. These are stated precisely, for example years of UHNI advisory or a CA qualification.
- Learn Groww’s product lines, including W from Groww, Groww Mutual Fund and its lending business, and the regulators that oversee them.
- For content roles, send published work. The video internship makes a portfolio mandatory.
Before you accept
Groww’s postings and careers page give no salary bands, and we do not publish unverified figures. When you get an offer, check what the fixed pay works out to each month with our in-hand salary calculator, and confirm tax treatment with a qualified professional.

Bottom line
Groww is a large, profitable and recently listed broker that says it wants to grow through technology rather than headcount. For applicants, that means few public openings at any one time, a clear four-step process and interviews that, on the evidence available, reward practical skill and domain depth. Watch the board, apply even when no listing fits exactly, and use a referral if you have one. Engineers should read the tech blog before any interview, because it shows which problems the teams spend their time on.
