ngram 2.0
Create explainers, screencasts, and AI avatar videos
What ngram 2.0 does
ngram is an AI video tool for product, marketing and training teams. You describe the video you need, who it’s for and the tone, or give it source material such as release notes, documents, web pages or a screen recording. ngram proposes a script and a production plan, and nothing is generated until you approve it. It then builds the video with narration, animated scenes, captions in your brand colours and, if you want one, an AI avatar presenter. You can change things by asking in chat, or edit scenes, text, music and captions on a timeline.
Version 2.0, launched on Product Hunt on 12 October 2026, centres on that brief-to-video flow: a plan you can approve or send back, source files as input, duration and format chosen at the start, saved earlier versions, a preview before the final MP4, a Chrome extension to start a brief from any web page, and a choice of AI model per video with its credit cost shown up front. ngram also analyses uploaded screen recordings to find the key moments for product walkthroughs. Exports are MP4 in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1, and videos can be shared by link or embedded.
The launch finished #2 for the day on Product Hunt with 261 upvotes and 42 comments. ngram’s team on Product Hunt includes Rishikesh Ranjan and Anish Muppalaneni.
We have not tested ngram ourselves. This page brings together its official site, its v2 feature page, pricing and terms, its Product Hunt page and the official pricing pages of comparable tools, and says where each fact comes from.
What people use ngram 2.0 for
- Turning release notes or a changelog into a short product-update video
- Making an onboarding or training video from a slide deck or documentation
- Turning a screen recording into a narrated product walkthrough
- Explaining a research paper's main findings on video
- Sales and social clips in vertical or square formats
The launch story
Rishikesh Ranjan's pinned launch comment starts from a simple observation: a research paper, a slide deck or a product guide can hold everything someone needs to learn a topic, but turning it into a video still takes a separate round of scripting, recording and editing.
With ngram you bring the material, say who the video is for and choose how much detail to cover, and it writes the script and narration and builds animated scenes; the material and the depth you pick set the video's length. In the comments he added that a GitHub integration is coming to turn each pull request into a short explainer of what changed, starting with internal teams.
