Wonder Dynamics is the company behind Wonder Studio, a cloud-based tool that uses AI to put computer-generated characters into live-action video. You upload footage of an actor, assign a 3D character, and the software tracks the performance and handles much of the animation, lighting and compositing that a visual effects team would otherwise do by hand. Animation World Network described it as combining AI with established 3D tools, and it offers a plug-in that connects to Autodesk Maya and Blender, so artists can take the results into their usual software.
The company was co-founded by Nikola Todorovic, its CEO, and the actor Tye Sheridan, its president. CG Channel noted that Wonder Studio, launched in 2023, was the company’s first product, and that its advisory board included Steven Spielberg.
Acquired by Autodesk. On 21 May 2024 Autodesk announced it had acquired Wonder Dynamics; the terms were not disclosed. Autodesk said Wonder Studio would become part of Flow, its cloud for media and entertainment. In March 2025 Digital Production reported that Wonder Studio had been renamed Autodesk Flow Studio. In August 2025 CG Channel reported that Autodesk had added a free, watermarked tier, cut the prices of the Lite and Pro subscriptions and introduced a Standard tier between them.
So Wonder Dynamics no longer operates as an independent startup. The product lives on as Autodesk Flow Studio, sold by Autodesk. Autodesk’s own product and pricing pages would not load for us, so we do not quote current prices here; check Autodesk’s site before you buy.
This profile draws on Autodesk’s announcement as reported by trade press. We have not tested the product, and nothing here is paid placement.
