Wicked Ride was a Bengaluru startup that rented premium motorcycles to travellers and riding enthusiasts. Inc42 reported that it was founded in April 2014 by Varun Agni, Vivekananda Hallekere and Anil G, and that by mid-2015 it had completed more than 2,500 rides with a fleet of 32 motorcycles. Besides self-drive rentals it ran guided motorcycle trips (which it called Bikeations), fixed-departure tours, gear rental and photo sessions with premium bikes. In July 2015 it raised a seed round of about INR 5 crore from an undisclosed angel investor.
The business then changed shape. The same company, registered as Wickedride Adventure Services Pvt Ltd, launched Metro Bikes, a commuter scooter and bike rental service at Bengaluru metro stations with keyless, OTP-based access. Inc42 reported in June 2018 that it raised $8.98 million in a round led by Sequoia Capital and Accel, and described Metro Bikes as originally called Wicked Ride. Metro Bikes was later renamed Bounce and grew into a dockless scooter-sharing service.
Bounce later moved into electric vehicles. In December 2021 it launched its first electric scooter, the Bounce Infinity E1. Autocar Professional reported launch prices of Rs 68,999 with battery and charger, or Rs 45,099 without the battery for buyers who chose a battery-as-a-service swap plan, and a certified range of 85 km per charge. Hallekere was quoted as co-founder and CEO.
The Wicked Ride brand itself is no longer active: when we checked in October 2026, the wickedride.com domain was listed for sale, and the old Bounce domain redirects to bounceinfinity.com, which sells the E1 range. Anyone looking for a motorcycle rental in Bengaluru today will need a different provider.
