Noom is a US digital health company known for its weight-loss app, which uses psychology-based lessons, food logging, coaching and habit tracking rather than strict diets. It describes itself as a behaviour change company used by millions. Over the past few years it has added medical programmes: Noom Med and the Noom GLP-1Rx programme give eligible members access to prescriptions such as compounded semaglutide through physician-led telehealth, alongside the app’s nutrition, exercise and mindset coaching. In June 2026 Noom made its GLP-1 Companion free for anyone taking a GLP-1 medication, whatever their prescriber, with tools for protein intake, side effects, muscle preservation and habits. In its announcement Noom said that in its largest randomised controlled trial of the behaviour programme, members lost an average of 4.1% of body weight and kept losing for a year after the programme ended.
Its press releases carry a Princeton, New Jersey dateline. Geoff Cook, previously CEO of The Meet Group, became CEO in July 2023, succeeding co-founder Saeju Jeong, who moved to executive chairman, according to MobiHealthNews.
Pricing
Noom’s prices depend on the programme and are shown at sign-up after a quiz. Athletech News reported in February 2026 that Noom’s Microdose GLP-1Rx programme starts at $79 a month for eligible users for an initial period, and that the standard GLP-1Rx programme costs $199 a month plus tax on a 12-week subscription after the initial period. Medication programmes are not available in every US state. The GLP-1 Companion is free.
Who it suits
Noom suits adults who want structured, app-based help with eating habits and weight, and people already taking a GLP-1 who want support with nutrition and side effects. Anyone considering a prescription programme should speak to a clinician; Noom’s medical programmes are only for eligible US patients.
