100X Meter Early

Think qarunbook could go 100X?

Give it a push. One tap per reader each day; the meter tracks buzz here, not quality.

What qarunbook does

qarunbook (short for “QA runbook”) is a tool for the testing people do by hand on a real build before a release. You write a test plan where every check has steps and an expected result, or have an AI assistant draft it from your app’s code. Then you, your team or your AI assistant work through it, recording a pass or fail for each platform: web, Android and iOS.

Issues stay attached to the check that found them. When an issue is marked fixed, the check shows “retest” rather than “passed” until someone checks the new build again. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or any other MCP client can read what failed, record results and follow up on fixes, acting under your name and role. It connects to GitHub, GitLab, Linear, Jira, Slack, Teams, Sentry, PostHog and Zapier, and has a REST API on every plan. It does not run automated tests.

qarunbook is built by Ifeanyi Ejindu; the site says it is made by Skill Seeds. It launched on Product Hunt on 4 October 2026 and finished #36 for the day with 62 upvotes. Paid plans are a flat price per workspace rather than per seat.

We have not tested qarunbook ourselves. This page brings together its official site, pricing page and terms, its Product Hunt page and the official pricing pages of comparable tools, and says where each fact comes from.

What people use qarunbook for

  • Running a pre-release test pass across web, Android and iOS
  • Making sure a bug marked fixed is actually re-checked on the new build
  • Letting an AI assistant draft the test plan from your code and record results over MCP
  • Assigning checks or whole platforms to specific testers
  • Tracking bugs after launch, with or without a check behind each one

The launch story

Ifeanyi Ejindu says he has shipped a lot of apps, and every time, testing before a release turned into a job of its own: working out what to check, explaining how to check it and chasing bugs. The one that hurt most was a bug marked "fixed" that nobody looked at again on the new build.

qarunbook keeps that work in one place, he explained: a plan that says how to test, results per platform, issues that stay on the check that found them, and a "retest" state for fixes. He was clear that it doesn't run automated tests; it is for the testing that people and their AI assistants do on a real build. He asked teams that already have a test plan to import it and tell him where it didn't fit.

qarunbook pricing

qarunbook charges a flat price per workspace, never per seat, in US dollars before tax. Paying yearly gives two months free.

PlanPriceWhat you get
Free$01 app, just you; 150 checks tested and 30 issues a month; 1 AI import a month; 2 GB storage; every integration, MCP, both AI skills and the API. No card
Team$29/month ($290/year)Unlimited testing, 15 apps, up to 15 members, 2 AI imports and 1 checklist from code a month, 50 GB storage, roles and join links
Business$79/month ($790/year)Unlimited testing and apps, up to 50 members, unlimited AI imports, 3 checklists from code a month, 250 GB storage
EnterpriseCustomUnlimited apps, members, AI imports and storage; invoiced billing

A checklist drafted from your code costs $10 each on qarunbook's AI beyond the plan allowance, and is free when you run it on your own AI.

A check counts once a month, the first time it gets a pass or fail; retests never count. Going over a limit deletes nothing, it just blocks adding more.

Cancelling takes effect at the end of the paid period; partial periods aren't refunded except where the law requires it (terms).

At launch the maker described the free plan as 2 apps and 5 people; the pricing page now says 1 app, just you, and we use the pricing page.

Who qarunbook is for

A good fit if you…
  • ship web or mobile apps and test them by hand before each release
  • use Claude Code, Cursor or Codex and want your assistant to work through the same test plan
  • have a team and dislike per-seat pricing: paid plans are flat per workspace
Probably not for you if…
  • want automated end-to-end tests run for you (qarunbook doesn't run them; tools like QA.tech or TestSprite do)
  • need more than one app or more than one person for free: the Free plan is 1 app, just you
  • need on-premises hosting

qarunbook pros and cons

Pros

  • Wide integrations and a REST API on every plan, including Free

  • AI-drafted checklists cost $10 each on qarunbook's AI beyond the allowance
