Auriko is an AI gateway: one OpenAI-compatible API that sends your requests to models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, DeepSeek and many other providers. What sets it apart is how it picks the route. Its founders describe themselves as former quant traders, and Auriko treats inference providers like trading venues. For each request it builds a list of eligible providers, applies your hard limits (model, capabilities, budget, data policy), then scores the candidates on cost, latency, throughput and success rate. The cost model goes beyond list prices: it accounts for each provider’s prompt-caching rules and your own usage pattern, and re-evaluates every request, including mid-session when a cache may have gone cold. If a provider errors or hits a rate limit before responding, Auriko falls back to the next-best route.
Auriko publishes its own benchmark claiming an average 30% cost reduction against direct providers and other routers; that is the company’s own test. It also offers fallback routing, bring-your-own-keys, budget limits by workspace or API key, and an analytics dashboard. Its privacy policy says it is a zero-data-retention proxy that does not read, log or store prompts and responses, and does not train models on your data. The company is Auriko, Inc., a Delaware corporation. Auriko launched on Product Hunt on 9 July 2026 and finished #1 for the day with 387 points and 72 comments.
We have not tested Auriko ourselves. This page brings together its official site, its Product Hunt page and the public pages of the products it is compared with, and says where each fact comes from.

Who Auriko is for
- run AI agents or apps with large, repeated contexts where prompt-caching rules change the real cost
- use open-weight models served by several providers and want the cheapest reliable one per request
- want automatic failover and budget limits across providers behind one API
- need identical output every time from one fixed provider: commenters raised drift between providers serving the same model (Auriko says it lists models truthfully, including quantization, and lets you pin them)
- use only one provider's models, where a router adds less
- need features still in private beta: parts of the site are marked private beta

What the community says
From the Product Hunt launch discussion (72 comments):
prompt caching usually rewards staying on the same provider for a session
The maker replied: Michael Yang: routing is re-evaluated on every request using the expected cost of the whole session, so cache state is taken into account.
When the cheapest provider starts erroring or its latency spikes, does Auriko fail over inside the same request?
The maker replied: Michael Yang: yes, for retryable failures before a usable response it falls back to the next eligible path.
Saving 40% on inference means nothing if my customer-facing outputs get worse
The maker replied: Michael Yang: you can pin the exact model, including quantization, and routing stays within those limits.
