Ask Ad Manager is a conversational AI agent, built with Gemini, inside Google Ad Manager, Google’s platform for publishers who sell ad space on their sites and apps. Google announced it on its blog on 18 June 2026 and described three things it does. It helps troubleshoot problems, such as a line item that is not delivering, with follow-up questions instead of manual report digging. It builds custom metrics, reports, tables and benchmarks from a single prompt; Google’s example asks for impressions by ad unit bucketed into big, medium and small, with averages and a pie chart. And it links you straight to the right place in Ad Manager with the right filters loaded.
Google says the agent uses only each publisher’s own data to give personalised answers. It was released in beta in June 2026, with new skills to follow during the year, and Google said REST APIs and an MCP server for key trafficking workflows would come later in the year. The Product Hunt launch, on 19 June 2026, finished #9 for the day with 138 points. The announcement was written by Peentoo Patel, Senior Product Management Director at Google.
We have not tested Ask Ad Manager ourselves. This page is based on Google’s announcement and the Product Hunt launch page, and says where each fact comes from.
