TinyFolder is a Mac app that adds app folders to the Dock, something the Mac Dock
can’t do on its own. You pick a set of apps, pin the folder, and one click opens
it right above its Dock tile. The folder’s icon is built from the apps inside, so
you can see what it holds at a glance.

Most of the app is about design. A live editor lets you choose glass, colour or
texture, icon, list or large-tile layouts, icon size, labels and living effects
such as snow and drifting light, with 64 built-in presets. Each folder can also
have its own keyboard shortcut. TinyFolder launches apps only: you can’t drop files
onto the apps inside a folder, and apps that are running still appear in the Dock,
as macOS requires.

There are two editions. The Mac App Store version is limited to one folder in the
Dock, because App Store rules only let an app change its own Dock icon. The version
downloaded from tinyfolder.app can pin as many folders as you like. TinyFolder is
designed and built by Sergey Filkov and launched on Product Hunt on 4 October 2026,
finishing #16 for the day with 75 upvotes.

_We have not tested TinyFolder ourselves. This page brings together its official
site, its Mac App Store listing, its Product Hunt page and the official pages of
comparable apps, and says where each fact comes from._
