Practo is an Indian healthcare platform. For patients it offers a directory of doctors
with appointment booking at more than 9,000 hospitals and clinics, online video 
consultations across 25+ specialities, lab tests with home sample collection, medicine
delivery and Practo Plus health plans. For providers it sells Ray, practice management
software it says is used by 10,000+ clinics, and Insta, a hospital information management
system used by 500+ clients across 1,200+ facilities. Its site claims 30 crore+ 
patients a year and more than a lakh doctor partners.

Inc42 reported that Practo was founded in 2008 by Shashank ND, its cofounder and
CEO, and Abhinav Lal. In August 2025 it reported Practo’s first full year of operating
profit: an operating EBITDA of INR 15 crore on revenue of INR 234 crore in FY25,
against an EBITDA loss of INR 17 crore on INR 240 crore in FY24, and said the company
had begun preparing to go public without giving a timeframe.

Practo publishes online consultation fees on its consult page. On 15 October 2026
the page said consultations start at Rs 199 and listed fees such as Rs 699 for a
general physician, dermatologist or psychiatrist and Rs 799 for paediatrics. Booking
an in-person appointment through the directory is free; you pay the doctor’s own
fee.
