Portea Medical is an Indian home healthcare company. It sends doctors, nurses, physiotherapists
and trained attendants to patients’ homes, and offers lab tests, vaccination, elder
care, mother-and-baby care, diabetes care, critical care at home, counselling and
the rental or sale of medical equipment. Its website calls it India’s home healthcare
pioneer since 2013 and claims more than 20 lakh (2 million) patients served, over
100 hospital partners and 135 cities. Patients book online or through a phone line,
a clinical team assesses the need, and Portea matches a professional to the case.

Meena Ganesh is Portea’s founder and chief executive, according to TechCrunch. Accel
led its Series B, a $37.5 million round in which the International Finance Corporation
and Qualcomm Ventures also took part, and in November 2017 TechCrunch reported a
$26 million Series C led by Sabre Partners and MEMG CDC, bringing its total to about
$72.5 million at the time. Entrackr, citing TheKredible, puts total funding at nearly
$123 million, with Accel and Ventureast as lead investors.

Entrackr reported in January 2026 that Portea’s revenue from operations grew 15%
to Rs 160 crore in FY25 (the year to March 2025), while its loss fell 49% to Rs
19 crore. Services such as nursing, physiotherapy and lab tests made up 59% of operating
income (Rs 95 crore), and sales of products such as oxygen concentrators, BiPAP
machines and nebulisers brought in Rs 56 crore.

Portea does not publish a price list. Charges depend on the service, the city and
how long care is needed, and are quoted when you book.
