Medallion is a US healthcare operations company that handles the paperwork needed
before a clinician can see patients and get paid. Its platform covers payer enrollment
with Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurers, credentialing (verifying a provider’s
licences, education and history), roster management, delegated credentialing, hospital
privileging, cross-state licensing, ongoing monitoring and payer contract management.
Medallion says autonomous AI agents do much of the multi-step work across payer
portals, CAQH, email, fax and phone, with human specialists reviewing exceptions
and critical steps. It has recently acquired Andros, according to its homepage.

Customers named on Medallion’s site include Headspace, Iris Telehealth, Tampa General
Hospital, UnitedHealthcare, CareSource, Oak Street Health, VNS Health and Virta
Health, and the company says it serves more than 300 organisations. It cites results
such as Tampa General cutting turnaround from 30 days to three; these are company
figures. Medallion’s founder and CEO is Derek Lo, whom the company describes as
a second-time founder.

In August 2025 Medallion raised $43 million led by Acrew Capital, with Washington
Harbour Partners and returning investors Sequoia Capital, GV and Spark Capital,
bringing total funding to $130 million, HIT Consultant reported. Alongside the round
it launched CredAlliance, a shared credentialing service for health plans in which
a provider is verified once and the result is shared across participating payers,
aimed at what it estimates is $1.2 billion a year in duplicate re-credentialing.
The company said its platform supports about 1 million providers and that enterprise
annual recurring revenue grew 106%.

Medallion does not publish prices. Its pricing page says engagements are built around
each customer’s goals, scope and performance commitments, and asks buyers to get
in touch.
