LaunchReel is a plugin for Claude Code, Anthropic’s coding assistant, that edits
video. It does two jobs. Give it a recording of yourself talking and it cuts the
filler words, pauses and retakes, then adds captions and zooms. Or point it at your
product’s code and Claude writes a launch film or demo as code, scene by scene, 
with original music and a voiceover. Exports run 16:9 or 9:16, up to 4K.

What sets it apart from asking Claude to edit video directly is the Studio, an editing
window that opens while Claude works. Pin a comment on any frame and Claude fixes
just that spot, or click text to change its font, size or colour yourself without
spending a prompt. According to its maker, your footage stays on your own machine.

It was made by Gajanan Rathod, who describes himself on Product Hunt as a video 
editor turned maker. LaunchReel launched there on 4 October 2026 and ranked #15 
for the day with 81 upvotes and 12 comments (as of 7 October).
