FlexChords is a web app for guitarists. Paste a YouTube link or upload an audio
file (WAV, MP3, M4A or FLAC) and it detects the chords, the key and the tempo, then
shows the chords in time with the song so you can play along. A timeline lets you
jump to any part of the song, and a chord editor lets you change a chord, move its
start or end, split or delete it, with undo and redo. You can export the chords
as timestamped labels for Audacity, Reaper and other audio editors.

The maker says a deep-learning model predicts the chords and a separate music-theory
smoothing step removes the rapid, glitchy chord changes raw models tend to produce.
Songs other people have already analysed sit in a public catalogue you can play
along to for free, and a free account gets five new analyses a month.

FlexChords was built by Amit S Namboothiry, who describes himself as a guitarist,
and launched on Product Hunt on 4 October 2026, finishing #20 for the day with 69
upvotes.

_We have not tested FlexChords ourselves. This page brings together its official
site, its Product Hunt page and the official pages of comparable tools, and says
where each fact comes from._
