100xFounder covers startups, funding, jobs and AI with one core rule: **every factual
claim has a source**. This page explains how we source, how we use AI, who the byline
is, how we handle corrections and money, and how we keep commercial interests away
from editorial judgement.

## Sourcing standards

 * We prefer primary sources: company announcements, official documentation and
pricing pages, regulatory filings, government data and on-the-record statements.
 * When we build on another outlet’s reporting, we summarise it in our own words,
credit the outlet and link to it. We do not republish other publishers’ articles.
 * Every article ends with a dated list of sources showing the publisher and the
   claim each one supports.
 * We never invent or estimate figures about real people or companies. Net worth,
funding, revenue, salaries and personal details are published only when a reliable
source reports them, with the date. If there is no reliable source, we leave
   it out.
 * Prices, plans and features change often. Tool articles state the date the information
was checked, and we update them when vendors change their pages.
 * Jobs on our board come only from official company career pages and public applicant-
tracking feeds, never from scraped job portals.

## How we use AI

We use AI writing tools to help with research, outlining and drafting. AI output
is never treated as a source. Before publication every draft goes through a review
step: each fact is checked against a cited source, unsupported claims are removed,
wording is checked so nothing is copied from other publishers, and images must be
openly licensed or our own. Articles about a founder or a private person are reviewed
by the site owner before they are published.

Unless an article describes our own testing, our tool recommendations are compiled
from vendors’ official documentation, pricing pages and public reviews, and the
article says so. We do not claim hands-on testing or personal experience we do not
have.

## Pen name

Articles are bylined **Ishaan Vardhan**, the pen name of the 100xFounder editorial
desk. It is not a real individual reporter, and we do not give it invented credentials,
a photo or claimed first-hand experience. The byline means the article was produced
and checked under this policy.

## Founder verification

When we publish about a founder or company, we invite them to check the facts and
sources. Corrections they send are reviewed against evidence and applied openly.
Being contacted does not give anyone approval over our coverage.

## Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it. Significant corrections carry an “Updated”
note with the date and what changed; typos are fixed without a note. To report an
error, send the page link, what is wrong and a source through our [contact page](https://100xfounder.com/contact/).
Full details are in the [corrections policy](https://100xfounder.com/corrections-policy/).

## Sponsored content and affiliate links

 * Sponsored articles are labelled “Sponsored” and are reviewed against the same
factual standards as our own articles.
 * Paid and affiliate links carry `rel="sponsored"`, and pages with affiliate links
   carry a disclosure.
 * Pages display advertising served by Google AdSense. We do not place ads on thin
   or private pages.

Read the full [advertising disclosure](https://100xfounder.com/advertising-disclosure/).

## Independence

Advertisers, sponsors and affiliate partners never decide what we cover, what we
say or where a product appears in a recommendation. A commercial relationship does
not buy a better verdict, and we will not remove accurate, sourced reporting because
a company asks.

## Ratings

Star ratings on 100xFounder come only from real votes by our readers. We never seed,
estimate or hard-code a rating, and we never present another platform’s rating (
such as Product Hunt or G2) as our own; where we mention one, we show it as text
with its source.
